Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Legacy Continues
Under a clear blue sky with a cool northwest breeze, Post 320 construction of our new building began with the first turn of the shovel completed here by Post Commander Lee Holland and 12th District Commander, Michael F. Mitrione on Saturday, Aug. 18. The Post’s Honor Guard established the formal setting for the ceremony with the posting of the colors followed by Post Chaplain Dave Russell presenting the invocation.
…helping us ensure the integrity…
In his opening remarks, Commander Holland stressed that “…our new facility will enable Post 320 to continue being a leading advocate for veterans health care and rehabilitation, children and youth programs, and a strong national security policy.” He added, “The legacy of Post 320 continues with this new building providing an enhanced opportunity to improve our efficiency and effectiveness in supplying our services to military warriors, their families, and the community, while helping us ensure the integrity and preservation of the history of our Post.” Commander Mitrione praised the Post for it’s support of the 12th District and congratulated Post 320 members for their commitment in moving forward with the building project.
Excellent turnout including government Reps
With some 70 attendees including government officials, members of Post 320 and other interested citizens, the Commander introduced Mark L. Cole, VA State House of Representatives; members of the Board of Supervisors including Chris Yakabouski; Emmitt B. Marshall; Henry "Hap" Connors, Jr.; and, T.C. Waddy.
